Our Mission

We are committed to developing the highest quality affordable housing communities that create and maintain value, both for those living in – and those living around – our properties.

What is Affordable Housing?

Affordable housing is a dwelling where the total housing costs are affordable to those living in that housing unit. A commonly accepted guideline for housing affordability is a housing cost that does not exceed 30% of a household's gross income.
Affordable doesn’t mean free. Residents are required to pay rent, usually a sum that is up to 20% lower than comparable “market rate” housing.
Affordable housing is not section 8 housing. It is section 42 housing mandated by Congress in 1986 to fill the gap between government sponsored housing and market rate housing. It is cherished by the working poor among us who, like you, want the very best for their families and children.
An affordable housing resident may be a retail clerk, a cashier, a city employee, a healthcare attendant, or the person who cleans your office every evening.
