Chico Bar Triangle

Chico Bar Triangle is a proposed multi-family residential low-income housing community located in Chico, CA. The development is a partnership with the Housing Authority of the County of Butte and the City of Chico and will consist of 70 total units, including one manager’s unit. 100% of the units will be rent restricted to individuals with incomes ranging from 30%-60% of the Area Median Income (AMI). The project includes a 2,802 square foot community building, including a fully furnished multipurpose room with television and video capabilities, a kitchen, restroom facilities, and manager offices. In addition, there is a centrally located recreational open space with a network of walkways connecting the site along with barbeque/picnic areas, tot lot, and space for residents to enjoy the outdoors. Chico Bar Triangle received all entitlement approvals, including the Site Plan Review Amendment and Density Bonus from the City of Chico in early 2022. The City of Chico has committed an over $14M CDBG-DR Loan and it is anticipated that an award of low-income housing tax credits will be made in November 2023. Start of construction is anticipated for 2024.
